What is 4G?

Definition

4G is often referred to as wireless network technologies that use unlicensed frequencies. The most interesting of these currently are:

  • Bluetooth (2.4 GHz)
  • W-LAN     (2.4 GHz)
  • 802.11a    (5 GHz)

In the coming years 4G-networks will provide mobile users with the best wireless connections to the Internet or to their corporate intranets from a broad range of locations, regardless of the type of network. Roaming will make it possible for users to connect to different networks such as LAN, GPRS and to the coming 3G
